I Got a Website!

And the learning begins.

So after some online research I decided to create a website. With so much information out there it was a lot harder than I expected to choose! Did I want to learn to code, did I want to own my own content, did I want to get a domain here or there…oh boy! I settled on Squarespace because I’m not needing anything super fancy that would require fancy tweaking. They also combined a bunch of services and made things streamlined.

Ok, so why even make a website? I’m just trying to keep myself motivated and share the journey with anyone who cares to join me. If I’m trying to develop and eventually be able to present myself to people in the writing world, I need to show that I’m committed. Having a weekly check-in, even if just for myself, will keep me far more motivated than just telling myself I’ll do it.

What are my website goals? Post weekly (or more) about things that I’m working on, experiencing, or learning. I’ll also be sharing things that my family participates in to grow their sparks. I’m also going to give myself weekly goal challenges that I’ll share with anyone who joins the mailing list. Those weekly goals will be shared in future posts.

Now, it’s time to refresh myself on creating newsletters!
