So Much to Learn

Thankfully there’s a wealth of information at our fingertips.

Ok, I’ve decided to finally start writing the book I’ve been wanting to start for the the past 10 yrs.

Now what…

On the days I walk my kids to and from school I get at least 1 or 2 miles of uninterrupted time for myself. This time has become a great opportunity for brainstorming and listening to podcasts. I’m new to the podcast world, so it’s been exciting to see what all is available out there. I started adding several podcasts that relate to writing, especially new writers. Their advice is what got me started on my writing journal and creating a separate writing profile.

The last time I had a journal was high school. The writing journal I’m keeping now is a very different animal (less whining and ranting, much more positive). I started with just an introduction and some writing goals. Currently I have some little brainstorming charts and some lists that relate to the first book I want to write. Yep, I have a looooong way to go.

Thank goodness for technology as a tool. I still love to crack a book occasionally, but with videos online from people of all skills, blogs, and podcasts I can learn so much in various blocks of the day. There really is no excuse for me to NOT learn. The ability to record yourself talking has been around for 140 years, but today our technology makes it so easy!

Why did I decide to share my experiences online when it seems everyone else is too? Why not!? I’m on a journey. I’d love for you to share it with me and even create a network of support.
